Let me know if you buy it! I want one of these one day too. Want to know how your purchase goes.

The fact that it is in a different country does not bode well — but I am closer and closer to just pulling the trigger on a 2000 with every one that I look at.

Those really are the prettiest cars, when they're not red. Not really any way around it.

Oh that does make it harder. I see the car is in Canada.
Are you in the US like I am? It would be fun to drive a car home from Canada, in the summer...

Be honest, they're still gorgeous in Rosso Alfa.

They are, but the color aged so poorly. Of course pretty much any one you could buy today isn't original paint, but others did so much better.
And it looks goddamn gorgeous in black.

The 1967 Alfa Romeos were much more handsome cars.

Price seems a bit lofty IMHO.
I've featured ones that are running/driving and don't look too bad for $15k.
This one is certainly in nicer condition...but...worth 2X the price...
Who needs sway bars anyway

The BIG thing with GTV's or any Alfa is rust. If a GTV has a documented restoration including all the prerequisite rust elimination than it can fetch up to the low 30's. If I remember correctly the 73' listed above had some rust issues as well as the 71'. The key is to do the research and know where to look. There is the usual spots like the floors, trunk and arches to look out for. Then there are the GTV specific places like the base of the windshield, certain parts of the firewall and some spots around the doors where rust can be an issue, but they are harder to see if you don't know to look. I will have a GTV one of these days, and after seeing how much needs to be done with what can appear to be a great car I would save a little more and get one that is a bit more expensive and well documented.

I'm really interested in ones that are pretty much completely original/matching # (with maybe possibly a repaint/changed steering wheel/changed fog light color/decal/suspension upgrade/minor motor tweaks) and that are in pristine condition. I very much enjoy taking care of my cars but really just don't have the time to bring one back to life; mostly I wouldn't want to take an extra 6 months - 1 year+ figuring out what needed to be done and what I wanted, finding all the required items, and then having it all put together only to save a couple grand (if that) in the end.
